Bikesnrides is also a professional mountain bike guide service organising half, full and multi day rides and trips including pickup and return to your accommodation.
At Bikesnrides we provide a mountain bike guide service for mountain biking the Whakarewarewa Forest in Rotorua, The Craters of the Moon mountain bike area in Taupo, and the W2K and Kawakawa Bay trails at Kinloch, Taupo, New Zealand. Yes some of New Zealands sweetest and fun singletrack on a bike. And a Best of Colorado trip in June - July each year, including the iconic trails of Crested Butte, Fruita, Durango and Hall Ranch, outside of Boulder.

Ray loves to share his passion for the beautiful mt biking trails, history and stunning scenery of New Zealand with people from all over the world. Ray is a physical education and outdoor education teacher, a former Triathlon World Champion and coach. He is also a Professional Mt Bikers Instructors Association qualified instructor and is available for skills coaching sessions in groups from 2 -8 people.
In the 80s Ray lived in Colorado and worked in the outdoor tourist industry where his passion for mountain biking was ignited. He rode his first mountain bike in 1984 and he takes an organised trip back there once a year to ride iconic places like Durango, Crested Butte, Fruita, and Hall Ranch near Boulder.
Since the early 90’s Ray has explored trails all over New Zealand. From Whirinaki to the Bridge to Nowhere, the Waikato River Trail, the Timber Trail, the Great Lake Trail, 42nd Traverse. From Woodhill and the Karangahape Gorge to Hanmer Springs, Old Ghost Rd, Wanaka and Queenstown. These days its more about having fun, enjoying the outdoors, and sharing it with family and friends, both old and new.
